Si Hing Daniel Herr
Daniel joined Jow Ga towards the end of 2017. During that year's Chinese New Year, Daniel and his family visited Hunan Manor for a festive lunch only to discover Jow Ga was performing a lion dance. His mother inquired about the Kung Fu school from a bystander. After learning a bit more about the school, she took Daniel and his younger brother to US Jow Ga Martial Arts for their free trial week of classes. Being pleased with what progress her sons have achieved, she decided to have her boys continue. She was thrilled by the fact that the school included lion dancing as part of its curriculum.
Before Jow Ga, Daniel had some prior experience with Wing Chun classes. He struggled with discipline and doing homework. However, Jow Ga has equipped him with effective strategies and provided him the necessary tools to cultivate discipline and independence in fulfilling his responsibilities. One of Daniel's remarkable achievements upon joining Jow Ga was earning the top spot in not just one, but two separate Kuo Shu Tournaments. Other accomplishments consisted of improving his sparring and learning more forms. Daniel has helped out in Jow Ga lion dances by playing cymbals and gongs and occasionally going under tail for the lion. Jow Ga has made an impact on Daniel’s life by helping him be more responsible and disciplined with chores in the house and his diligence in school work. It has improved his attention in both the Jow Ga school classes and in his high school classes. Daniel has become a better student at US Jow Ga Martial Arts since he joined in 2017, allowing him to become more focused and engaged in everyday responsibilities. |
